Architect Erich Chiavi’s “Vision Hill” envisages how tomorrow’s sustainable living and working city could look like. His concept for the first “Vision Hill” town outlines innovative ideas on how to better bring together working and living by keeping distances short. The staircase shaped future town offers unobstructed views and enough sunlight for all residents. Apartments are conceived for all needs and stages of life. The project seeks to stop urban sprawl, creating instead spaces for living together in an eco-friendly way.

The buildings’ facades and outer-skins could, for instance, be a combination of transparent heat insulation and photovoltaics, as pioneered by ECO-Solar modular homes, with newly-engineered Ecocell® composites providing the building elements. Production facilities are to be located directly underneath “Vision Hill”, allowing the town to self-organise its growth.
